Overlanders Xperience offers multiple categories designed to accommodate different vehicle setups, experience levels, and ways of enjoying the event.

From highly competitive teams to families and beginners, OX categories allow each participant to choose the level of challenge and involvement that best fits their goals.

Xtreme Class

The highest level of competition

Xtreme Class is the most demanding and competitive category in Overlanders Xperience. It was created by merging the former Modified and Standard Pro categories into a single division with a higher level of difficulty.

Xtreme Class is designed for experienced off-road teams with advanced vehicle preparation and strong navigation skills.

Typical requirements include:

  • 35” to 37” tires

  • Snorkel and winch

  • CO Monitor with alarm

  • Proper recovery equipment

  • Solid navigation skills

  • Strong teamwork between driver and co-driver

Routes in Xtreme Class are technical and challenging, requiring precise navigation, recovery skills, and strategic decision-making under pressure. This category is not based on speed, but on accuracy, timing, and route execution.

Adventure Class

Challenge without extreme modifications

Adventure Class is the evolution of the former Tourism Pro category. It is designed for participants who want a competitive challenge without the need for extreme vehicle modifications.

This category focuses on:

  • Navigation and route planning

  • Technical off-road driving

  • Teamwork and strategy

​

Adventure Class offers demanding routes while remaining accessible to drivers with moderately equipped vehicles. It is ideal for participants looking to progress their skills and experience real off-road navigation competition.

 Discovery Class

Explore, learn, and enjoy the experience

Discovery Class is designed for beginners, families, and participants who want to enjoy Overlanders Xperience at a relaxed pace.

Participants in Discovery Class may join with:

  • 4x4 vehicles

  • Side by Sides (SxS)

  • ATVs and four-wheelers

This category emphasizes exploration, learning, and enjoyment rather than competition. Participants can take part in guided routes, observe competitive stages, participate in OX Quest activities, and enjoy the full base camp experience without competitive pressure.

OX categories are designed to be inclusive and flexible.

Some participants come to compete at a high level, while others attend to camp, explore, learn, and enjoy the off-road environment. Whether you are new to off-road driving or an experienced competitor, there is a category that fits your goals.

Participants are encouraged to choose the category that best matches their vehicle setup, experience level, and desired level of challenge.

One event, multiple ways to participate

Regardless of category, all participants share:

  • Access to the official base camp

  • Camping and community activities

  • The opportunity to watch special challenges and competitive stages

  • Participation in social gatherings, raffles, and awards ceremonies

This structure allows everyone to experience Overlanders Xperience in their own way.
